Airport Departure Overview
Your airport transfer taxi will drop you off immediately in front of the departure area. Your walk is very short; porters are available to assist with luggage, as there are no luggage carts available.
Airlines usually suggest checking in a minimum of 2 hours before departure time. Check-in desks can get busy, particularly on a Saturday.
Please note there is NO SEPARATE DEPARTURE TAX PAYABLE WHEN LEAVING ST KITTS. (This used to be the case, and many websites still list this.
Checking in, Immigration, and security screening
After check-in, you go upstairs into the customs area. Your passport and boarding pass will be checked at this point.
You will go through the security line.
All passengers will be asked to remove electronics from their luggage and also to remove their shoes and belts.
Make sure your liquids are in the correct quart-size plastic bag; no bags are available at security.
At the Gate
Within the gate area, there is plenty of seating. Also, bathrooms are available.
You will find a duty-free/gift shop and a snack bar. Both will accept US$, EC$, and credit cards.
Charging points are available for your mobile devices, but there are few, so it’s better to charge everything before you leave your resort.
The airline staff will announce the boarding procedures for your plane.
